The single rose cut is a vintage cut that is dome-shaped and has a flat bottom. It looks great on antique rings, and because of its flat bottom, it can be set very low and often sits just above the finger. The lack of a pavilion means the stone can be transparent in certain angle, and the stone can take on what ever color is behind it.
