PEAR SHAPED
Pear-shaped moissanite has a unique tear-dropped shaped cut. It is the most common of all asymmetrical shapes for moissanite or diamonds and is probably the only shape where you’ll see a three prong setting. However, for stability, five prong setting is recommended. Pear-shaped diamonds are commonly seen with a bow-tie (dark facets in the center of the stone), which is usually not a desirable trait. We cut our stones to minimize the bow-tie effect.
